JTWC #6 (Final Warning)

Brief Description: A cluster of clouds appeared in southern South China Sea in late March (originated from NE Monsoon convergence 冷湧). On 30/3, it was identified as low pressure area by JMA, and was numbered 96W later. On 1/4, JMA upgraded it to a TD and JTWC issued POOR to TCFA within that day. On 2/4, JMA issued Warning for the system and JTWC upgraded it to TD 01W. It has a well-defined LLCC and stronger winds is located in NW quadrant, which moves to the center on 2/4 as shown in ASCAT.  Though it moved NW at previous times, it is predicted that it may move SW and keep distance with Vietnamese coast before dissipation. NHMS (Vietnam) and MMD classified it as Tropical Depression. On 3/4, it turns a loop and moved southward led by a high on Indochina Peninsula. Final Warning was issued by JTWC which expected it to dissipate before reaching Borneo due to high VMS. It lost much of its convection at night but weak convection remained on 4/4 morning, NHMS (Vietnam) and MMD resumed Tropical Cyclone Warning and Tropical Cyclone Advisory. On 5/4, it was re-assigned as 97W, with convection far away from the center over the northern coast of Borneo, bringing showers to Sabah and Sarawak of Malaysia and also Borneo. JTWC re-assigned a poor chance for its development though high VMS was likely to deteriorate the system. On 6/4, it was upgraded to FAIR as the eastern LLCC wall has been building since 00UTC, but the LLCC was later less defined at 06-12UTC (LLCC not found).

THE SITUATION IS SIMILAR TO 2010 01W, JMA TD 26 and 19W...
01W+95W just similar to Chan-hom + Kujira in 2009 (but surely not that strong...)

Brief Description: A cluster of clouds appeared near Yap on 28/3. It moved westward slowly to north of Palau. Its LLCC slowly developed with fluctuating convection. On 2/4, it started to develop strong convection, which was located in the western sectors only, 35kt wind was even recorded in SW sector, but the NE sector was much weaker. On 3/4, it received a TCFA and JMA upgraded it to a 30kt Tropical Depression. On 4/4, JMA issued Gale Warning for it and predicted the formation of a tropical storm. However, JTWC reissued the TCFA because of poor low-level organisation. It was connected to the westerlies and was accelerating to the northeast. PAGASA also upgraded it to Tropical Depression Amang. On 5/4, JTWC finally upgraded the system to 02W, expecting it to reach 35kt at 12UTC and drift across between Agrihan, Pagan and Alamagan of North Mariana Islands as a tropical storm, and finally transition to a 40kt extratropical cyclone at TAU 24. JMA remained the Gale Warning for the system. At that night, since the extratropical transition started, JMA cancelled the gale warning for 02W which had been issued for a day. It fully transitioned to an extratropical cyclone and lost all strong convection on 6/4, but started decelerating eastward to eastsoutheastward.
